At Marlfields we teach Music following the Charanga Scheme. Our Year 4 children also take part in ‘Wider Opportunities’, where they learn to plan an instrument through our ‘Love Music Trust’ expert music teachers. They then have the opportunity to visit the ‘Halle Orchestra’ to experience what a real musical concert perform in the prestigious Halle.
All of our Marlfields children engage in singing assemblies weekly, following themes across the year. They learn songs to perform in key annual celebrations such as Harvest Festival, Christmas nativities and ‘Young Voices’.
Our Marlfields musicians will engage in music and be inspired to develop a love of music. They will develop their musical talent, increase their self-confidence and have the space to be creative. Throughout our music curriculum, they will experience a range of musical experiences, gaining a sense of achievement.
