Our Governors

Our Governing Body is key role in supporting and challenging the school to help us achieve high standards of education, leadership and overall wellbeing. Working particularly close with our Head Teacher- Mrs C Sleath – and other staff to provide a strategic direction and ensure accountability and to help shape the future of the school.

Pupil leaders

Leadership starts with our children whose voices are integral to our success. From leading their own learning in classrooms to representing our school in the town council offices we believe such opportunities develop an understanding of our school values, and mission and also has a positive impact on pupil mental health and wellbeing.

Our vision and values

Marlfields Primary School’s core purpose is to strive for excellence in everything we does, both within the school and in the wider community.

Child-centred

Being a small school, in the heart of Congleton town, we place a strong emphasis on getting to know and understand the needs of each individual child. Our school motto is ‘Where Children Come First’, which encompasses the values of our dedicated members of staff.  Our staff know each child, whether they teach them or not, and strive to put children at the heart of all they do.

Values individuality

We are an inclusive school, and we recognise the uniqueness of each child, encouraging them to be happy, confident learners. We have created in-house leadership roles for our children, which celebrate their unique skills and talents. Through these roles, we are able to value the children’s voice, while allowing them to contribute positively to our school. We place a great emphasis on encouraging children to be proud of who they are to enable them to thrive throughout school and within their lives beyond Marlfields.

Rich experiences

Our structured curriculum ensures that children learn the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding whilst also giving them a multitude of opportunities to flourish intellectually, creatively and physically. Afterall, it is It is our belief that children have just one childhood and this should be magical, wondrous and filled with inspirational and unforgettable learning experiences. At Marlfields we shall always be committed to education in the widest sense and develop the whole child.

Bluebell

Belong, Believe, Succeed.

Our Bluebell teacher and Resource Provision Leader is Miss Booth. Other adults working with our Bluebell children are: Mrs Amri, Mrs Dale, Mr Rowe and Miss Mills.

Marlfields Primary School’s Resourced Provision, Bluebells, has 7 places for children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. Every child has their own personalised learning programme, allowing them to access their education both in the Bluebells and mainstream classrooms.

Our Trust

A Staffordshire based community of first and primary schools with a track record of continuous improvement where the children are at the heart of everything we do.
