Pupil Leaders

School Council

The School Council is made of pupils who have been elected by their classmates to represent their views and help make the school a better place. These children meet regularly to discuss ideas, share feedback from their peers and work with staff to improve different aspects of school life. They might help plan events, suggest changes to playground equipment or support fundraising actives. The School Council gives pupils a voice and helps them develop confidence, leadership and teamwork skills, while making sure everyone feels heard and included in decisions that affect their school.

Eco Warriors are a dedicated group of pupils who work together to make their school more environmentally friendly. They take on important roles such as checking recycling bins, reminding others to save energy by switching off lights and screens and helping to reduce waste across the school. These pupils often lead by example, sharing ideas in assemblies, creating posters and encouraging their classmates to care for the planet. At Marlfields, Eco Warriors also get involved in outdoor projects like gardening, litter picking and promoting biodiversity, helping to make the school grounds greener and more sustainable.

Esafety Warriors play a vital role in helping everyone stay safe online. The pupils promote responsible use of technology by encouraging others to follow the school’s safety rules, such as keeping personal information private and being kind in digital spaces. They help raise awareness about online dangers like cyberbullying and unsafe websites and they support their classmates in making smart choices when using the internet.

The Marvellous Readers are passionate pupils who help promote a love of reading across the school. They encourage others to enjoy books, recommend great stories to their classmates and help organise reading events and challenges. One of their most important roles is looking after the school library keeping it tidy, helping others find books and making sure it’s a welcoming space for everyone. Marvellous Readers also help choose new books for the library and may even read with younger children, sharing their enthusiasm and helping to build a strong reading culture at Marlfields.

Super Friends are a kind and caring group of pupils who help make sure everyone feels happy, safe and included. They support children who might be feeling lonely or upset by offering a friendly face, a listening ear, or inviting them to join in games and activities. Super Friends help promote kindness and respect across the school by encouraging positive behaviour and helping to solve small disagreements in a fair and gentle way. They often wear badges so others know who they are and they work closely with staff to make Marlfields a welcoming and supportive place for everyone.
