Inclusion Quality Mark - Flagship School Status

I am thrilled to announce that Marlfields has been awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark and has achieved the highest possible rating of Flagship School Status for 2025-26. This is an exceptional achievement and reflects the incredible work happening across our school every single day.

The assessor described Marlfields as a nurturing, ambitious and highly inclusive school where staff “do whatever it takes” to support children and families. They praised the strong relationships between staff and pupils, the calm and welcoming atmosphere at the start of each day, and the way our team responds instantly and skilfully to children’s needs. They also highlighted the positive behaviour seen across school, the confidence of our pupil leaders, and the wide range of enrichment opportunities available to all children.

Parents who spoke to the assessor shared how well their children are supported, how communication has strengthened, and how staff know pupils as individuals. Many commented on the increased confidence, emotional wellbeing and academic progress their children have made.

The report also recognised the strength of our curriculum, the high expectations we set for every child, and the way staff work together with a shared belief that all pupils can succeed. Our approach to inclusion, leadership and cultural capital was described as innovative, effective and deeply embedded across the school.

We are incredibly proud of our staff, children and families whose continued hard work, commitment and belief in our values have helped us gain this well‑deserved recognition. This award celebrates our whole community and the inclusive ethos that makes Marlfields such a special place.
