Principal Challenge 2017-2018
Take up the challenge and gain a
Blue Peter Badge!
Mrs Isherwood has shared Blue Peter badges in assembly and challenged every pupil to work this year to try to gain a Blue Peter badge. Visit the Blue Peter website to see how you can apply for one of the 5 different badges. Well done to those who have one so far and to the 4 children who gained them for supporting the school recently at the RHS Tatton Show. Mum, Dad and Carers please support your child to apply for a badge as they can save you lots of money when entering over 200 children’s attractions in this country.
GOOD LUCK and we will keep you posted as the year goes on.

MARLFIELDS PRIMARY ACADEMY called out for your votes and we have just heard that we came FIRST which means we have secured £12,000.00 to help us do the CATAPULT project. Watch this space for updates.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HELP WITH THE VOTING.
Marlfields Primary Academy is bidding to bag a massive cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative . The supermarket has teamed up with Groundwork on its Bags of Help initiative, which see grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag levy – being awarded to environmental and greenspace projects. Three groups in each of Tesco’s 416 regions have been shortlisted to receive the cash award. And this month shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant. Marlfields Primary Academy’s CATAPULT project is one of the groups on the shortlist. The school has submitted a bid which will see children in our neighbourhood learning to be citizens capable of recognising the importance of working alongside our eco system. Our environment does not only sustain life but can also be a place that can be enjoyed by all in a recreational way. Sandie Isherwood, Principal quoted “Being shortlisted for a Bags of Help” award is a real achievement for us and we ask that all Congleton citizens please visit Tesco on Barn Road to vote for us so that we can improve Congleton not only for the children but residents as well. If you are interested in more information on our bid please just give us a call and the children will be more than happy to talk to you.’
