Hello, my name is Irene Morgan and I’m absolutely thrilled to be teaching Year 5 this year! I’m really looking forward to getting to know each of you and diving into all the exciting learning ahead. One of my greatest passions is science- I love exploring how the world works and encouraging curiosity through hands-on experiments and discovery.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving on Marlfields’ governing board, supporting the school’s vision and growth. My own children attended this school for many years, so I’ve experienced its warmth and values both as a parent and a professional. I’ve also worked here as a teaching assistant and taught in the Bluebell Room, which gave me a wonderful insight into the nurturing and inclusive environment we strive to create.
I can’t wait to bring all of that experience into the classroom and make this a year full of curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
Spellings will be sent home every Monday and tested on Friday. These words link to our phonics and spelling patterns in class, helping children become confident, accurate writers.
Reading
At least four times a week to help build fluency and confidence, ensuring an adult writes this in their child’s reading diary.
