Welcome to EYFS!
Hello and a very warm welcome to our Early Years Foundation Stage! My name is Sarah Barber, and I’m delighted to be your child’s class teacher. With 13 wonderful years of experience in EYFS, I remain as passionate as ever about the magical journey our little learners embark on. I truly believe in laying strong foundations by providing children with the essential building blocks of learning in a nurturing, playful, and inspiring environment. I especially love taking learning outdoors, where the natural world sparks curiosity, wonder, and endless opportunities for discovery.

I can’t wait to get to know your little ones and support them as they grow, explore, and thrive. I’m also lucky to be supported by a fantastic team in EYFS: Mrs Bennett, Miss Leaver, and Mrs Boon—together, we’re here to make this a joyful and enriching start to your child’s learning adventure.

Homework:
Reading & Shared Reading – 4 Times a Week Reading is at the heart of everything we do! We ask that children engage in reading four times a week. This can be reading aloud to an adult, listening to a story, or sharing a book together in any way that works for your family. It’s all about enjoying stories and building a love of books.
