At Marlfields Primary School, we follow the Cheshire East Religious Education Syllabus.

INTENT: Our Marlfields children will be prepared and equipped for life to be accepting in the diverse communities we live in. They will become respectful citizens in today’s Britain, through fostering a depth of knowledge and understanding of religious literacy.

Through a broad and balanced curriculum, they will develop the values of empathy, tolerance, and mutual respect—essential qualities for becoming thoughtful and respectful citizens in today’s Britain. We place a strong emphasis on fostering religious literacy, helping children to understand and appreciate a wide range of beliefs, traditions, and cultures. This not only deepens their knowledge but also encourages open-mindedness and curiosity about the world around them. By promoting dialogue, reflection, and understanding, we aim to nurture a generation that celebrates diversity and contributes positively to society.
