Welcome to Class 3!
Class Teacher: Mrs Gosling

Hello! I’m Mrs Gosling, and I’m thrilled to be part of this vibrant school community as Assistant Headteacher and Year 3 class teacher. With 16 years of teaching experience and 11 years serving as an Assistant Head, I bring a deep passion for education and a strong commitment to nurturing every child’s potential.
At the heart of my approach is a belief that school should be a place where children feel truly valued, heard, and inspired. I work hard to ensure that every pupil feels safe, supported, and encouraged to be their best self, both academically and personally.
This year, I’m especially excited to be teaching Year 3. We’ve got a fantastic journey ahead filled with exciting trips, brilliant books, and lots of opportunities to dive into our wider curriculum. Whether we’re exploring new topics, sharing stories or discovering the world around us, I can’t wait to learn and grow alongside my class.
Here’s to a year of curiosity, creativity, and connection, I’m so looking forward to all that lies ahead!
Homework:
Times Tables Focus Each week, children will practise one of the following times tables: 3s, 4s, or 8s. This will be a single activity designed to build confidence and fluency – perfect for short, focused practice at home.
Reading & Shared Reading – 4 Times a Week Reading is at the heart of everything we do! We ask that children engage in reading four times a week. This can be reading aloud to an adult, listening to a story, or sharing a book together in any way that works for your family. It’s all about enjoying stories and building a love of books.
Weekly Spelling Practice Spellings will be sent home every Monday and tested on Friday. These words link to our phonics and spelling patterns in class, helping children become confident, accurate writers.
Thank you for supporting your child’s learning at home, it makes a real difference! Let’s make homework a positive and rewarding part of our week.
