At Marlfields Primary School we have our own fully equipped Radio Station where we as pupils can produce radio shows and broadcast to the classes and parents.
We have a trained and dedicated staff member, Mrs Wood who works with a team of pupils from Key Stage 2 to produce weekly radio broadcasts.
Each year group plans, writes and prepares broadcasts as part of their Literacy and creative curriculum work.
The radio station team of children have been to visit a local radio station to gain first hand experience. They have been trained in the different areas of the radio station from the technical equipment to live presenting skills.
The radio station team use their knowledge to teach and train younger pupils. They also broadcast during special days in school including open days and charity events.
Who knows one day we could produce the next Terry Wogan!
